Rise & Grind Morning Show – Special Community Spotlight Episode

Published

on

On this inspiring episode of the Rise & Grind Morning Show, we shine a light on community leaders making a difference throughout the region.

Our first guest, Alexicia Sims, joined us to discuss the upcoming Juneteenth Parade taking place on Friday, June 19th. Alexia shared the significance of celebrating Juneteenth, the hard work that goes into organizing the parade, and how the community can come together to honor freedom, culture, and unity.

We also welcomed Rob Langford, who plays a key role in organizing the Black Men’s Wellness Day and Walk. Rob talked about the importance of health awareness, preventative care, and creating opportunities for Black men and families to focus on their physical and mental well-being.

In addition, we engaged in an important conversation about menstrual health, breaking down stigmas, promoting education, and highlighting why open discussions about women’s health are essential for healthier communities.

Don’t miss this powerful episode filled with community engagement, health awareness, education, and meaningful conversations that empower and uplift.
