Father, Jesse Coleman Sr. was a renowned known jazz saxophonist and minister. Brother JaQuan Coleman aka JQ Cole is an actor who can be seen in Tv series such as HBO's Winning Time, Hulu's Wu Tang : An American Saga and Snowfall.
